Meet the Founder
Hi I'm Christie Idiong, educator, researcher and founder of Cornerstone Conversations.

For almost a decade, I've taught health and wellness, cultural competency, and evidence-based research methods in higher education. Across the classroom, my research and my work in health promotion, I've remained interested in a central question: How do we make health information meaningful enough to matter in people's everyday lives?

My academic background spans public health, health promotion, behavioral science and education. I earned my Bachelor's in Health Sciences/Public Health with a minor in Business Management, my Master's in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention and my Doctorate in Health Promotion Sciences

My path to this work began through experiences across health care settings, where I became increasingly interested not only in what shapes health, but why people make the health decisions they do. Those experiences led me to explore human behavior, behavior change theory, motivation, movement and the broader social and environmental factors that influence well-being.

Cornerstone Conversations grew from those experiences and from my belief that health education should be accessible, engaging and connected to the realities of people's lives.
We prioritize what we value. We cannot value what we are not taught. It is my philosophy that quality service is people-oriented, education-driven, and principled in practice.

Shout out to my Mom, for instilling the Cornerstone philosophy in me.
